- Goal A: Finish! This is bare minimum and short of some sort of serious injury or passing out ... I WILL finish. This one is really not debateable.
- Goal B: under 2:20. I have never run a significant distance over a 10:40 pace and even with the lack of training I don't see it happening here. If I get attacked by the stomach issues again this could throw a wrench in things. But otherwise, I don't see that it could take me longer than 2:20 to finish this race. Even though I haven't trained for this, I will be disappointed if it takes me longer than this.
- Goal C: under 2:10. This is really where I see myself finishing. This is a 9:54 pace. I know I CAN run it alot faster than this, but this is not ideal conditions. Usually I can run forever at a 9:30 - 9:50 pace, so I'm hoping I can do that here.
- Goal D: under 2:00. Honestly I'd have to pull off some kind of miracle to make this one happen. This is a 9:10 pace and I'm just not in good enough shape to pull this off right now. It's still a goal of mine to finish under 2 hours, and I'm quite capable, but I do have to put in the training to achieve this. Right now I don't deserve it. But I can still dream.
Have a great weekend!
Keep Active!

Good luck!!
Good luck Heidi! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
I'm such a snail compared to your "untrained" paces - you will be fine.
I wonder what causes all of the pre-race stomach issues? Nerves?
This may be TMI, but I have gas problems when I run (the running seems to release it? Or the breathing sucks it in then makes it come out? I don't know!)
I will be thinking of you on Sunday - I recently read somewhere that it takes a year or two of regular running to get your body truly ready for running a marathon. The first person I thought of was you. I thought, "Oh Heidi would be ready to train for it, not me."
Whether you realize it or not, all the dedication you've put into your running over the past few years will easily carry you through. All those hours/miles you've put in have made your muscles and joints are much stronger than perhaps you realize.
GO GET IT!
good luck this weekend! i will be thinking of you and sending you good wishes!
Good luck! You can totally do it!!
