I was all gung-ho to kick off my new running goals, and then it hit me ... the cold from hell! Everyone in my house had already caught it, but I naively thought that maybe, just MAYBE, I might be able to escape it. My sister came into town on Friday night, and YUP ... guess when it hit?! By Friday evening my eyes were watering spontaneously from blocked sinuses. Fun stuff! Saturday I muscled through the day, which included an evening of bowling to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. She has had this cold for over a week now and over the weekend was suffering pretty bad (Happy Birthday!!!)
So needless to say, running and most exercise has been a bit on the back burner. Yesterday I finally started to begin feeling a bit better. I (mostly) survived the night without medication and am trying to get through the day without it too. I'm going to try for a run after work today.
Here's an update for March to date:
Running: 1.5 miles (Month Goal 40)
Fitness Classes: 2 (Month Goal 8-12)
Weight Loss: -1.2 lbs (Month Goal 7)
I'm not too worried about being a bit behind on these goals. I have lots of time to catch up and I'm eager to pound out those miles.
