I was all gung-ho to kick off my new running goals, and then it hit me ... the cold from hell! Everyone in my house had already caught it, but I naively thought that maybe, just MAYBE, I might be able to escape it. My sister came into town on Friday night, and YUP ... guess when it hit?! By Friday evening my eyes were watering spontaneously from blocked sinuses. Fun stuff! Saturday I muscled through the day, which included an evening of bowling to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. She has had this cold for over a week now and over the weekend was suffering pretty bad (Happy Birthday!!!)
So needless to say, running and most exercise has been a bit on the back burner. Yesterday I finally started to begin feeling a bit better. I (mostly) survived the night without medication and am trying to get through the day without it too. I'm going to try for a run after work today.
Here's an update for March to date:
Running: 1.5 miles (Month Goal 40)
Fitness Classes: 2 (Month Goal 8-12)
Weight Loss: -1.2 lbs (Month Goal 7)
I'm not too worried about being a bit behind on these goals. I have lots of time to catch up and I'm eager to pound out those miles.

Hiya Heidi, I know EXACTLY what you mean. LOL I was down for the count for an entire week with a really bad head cold! Looks like you can still be on track with your March goals! :)

You'll catch up. That cold is a bitch! I hope it doesn't come back. I got a bad one and it went away in a few days then came back a week later :( Vitamin C!
My kids are just finally starting to feel better after several weeks. It sucks. I'm the only one in the house who hasn't had it, so I'm pretty sure that means that I'm next!
Life! It sure gets in the way of our plans sometimes. Don't we know that too well. I even went through a time where I stopped making goals as I could never reach them!

Sorry that your daughter was sick on her 16th birthday which is a milestone. Happy belated birthday to her.
I understand life getting in the way of your goals. Mine took a terrible turn last week and I've been struggling to get back on track since. Not that I was totally on track before but now.....
Eh - sorry you got taken down by that cold. That's been going around here in MN as well. Blah. Hope you're feeling better! And you definitely have plenty of time to meet those March goals!

Sorry you were sick :( -- I think the best part about making goals is that it pushes you. You may not meet all your goals this month, but you are motivated to get close. Feel better soon!!
