Speed Intervals

Hit the treadmill last night.  Forgot to take my sweaty pic for Jen though - boohooo.  Too bad because it was a sweaty mess for sure.

Did speed intervals - 2 min @ 6mph, 1 min @ 7mph, 1 min @ 9mph - repeat for about 30 minutes.

Those 9mph stints certainly get the heart rate hammering.  I find that speed intervals like that really helps to improve my distance pace.  Plus it's a great challenge on the cardivascular system and a wicked calorie burn!

After that I did a good 20+ minutes of straight ab work.  I want to tighten those babies up!!

My sister-in-law came down for a couple days and a friend of hers gave her a sweater she didn't want anymore, or something.  I think she was going to give it to my daughter, but then she told me to try it on ... and now it's mine - sweet!  What do you think?  This is not a style (or colour) that I typically wear.  I'm not totally sold on it.

Hubby is coming home in a bit and we're going to go across the line and do a little shopping in the US.

Hope everyone has a great day (and weekend for those who don't check in).

looking good lady! Have fun shopping, I haven't been in the states for years. Make sure you get some of those things we can't get here like vita muffins and greek yogurt! Have fun!

Woman - you are way to young/hot to have teenage children. You look amazing! The sweater is super cute on you. I'd keep it if I were you.

Have fun shopping!

I hate you for looking so good in horizontal stripes!

Okay, that's a lie. I kinda like ya. :)

I'm going to try some speed work next time I'm on the treadmill. I think I have to push myself a little harder than I have been if I want to improve my running.

It's in the back of my mind to train for a 1/2 marathon and run one in the spring. Am I crazy???

You look wonderful. I would never guess you have teenage kids. That interval training sounds pretty intense. Might have to try it.

Great workout too! I add interval training in my running too for the same reason as you.
